Chemical peels have been used for decades to revitalize and resurface skin. Also known as "lunchtime peels," chemical peels are traditionally performed on the face, hands, neck, back and shoulders, legs and other problem areas to treat fine lines, wrinkles age spots and skin discoloration. Chemical peels are also effective in treating mild scarring and acne. Treatments usually last from 15 to 20 minutes and are one of the most effective ways to rejuvenate aging skin and erase the marks of sun damage. After treatment, the resulting regenerating skin is noticeably smoother and fresher in appearance.
Glycolic Peels
The glycolic peel is a gentle but effective way to achieve smoother, softer skin. Our glycolic peel allows you to experience medical strength alpha-hydroxy acids without the irritation commonly associated with glycolic peels and is highly recommended for acne-prone skin. This treatment can reduce the appearance of fine lines while visibly improving skin color, tone and texture.
Jessner's Peel
This medium-depth peel is designed for skin that has more extensive damage than alpha-hydroxy acids can improve. It is made from salicylic acid (a beta-hydroxy acid), lactic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid) and resorcinol. After a glycolic cleanser is applied to remove oils, your treatment technician applies the Jessner's solution in one or more layers, and then neutralizes the acid and removes the solution with cool water.
Beta Peel
ß-LIFTx® (BETA-LIFTx®) is a beta hydroxyacid peel that leaves skin with a healthy, youthful, smooth and tight appearance. Fine lines and wrinkles are less apparent and the skin tone is more even. The ß-LIFTx® procedure removes dead; dull skin cells from the surface of your face and exposes the young, healthy ones. Because ß-LIFTx® penetrates skin follicles, the effect on oily or acne-prone skin and superficial scars is remarkable. In just five minutes, your skin is more youthful and vibrant. After cleansing your face, the ß-LIFTx® formula is applied to your face. Within a few minutes, a filmy mask will appear. Some slight discomfort is predictable during the first two to three minutes. The mask is washed off and you will apply THERAPLEX® HYDROLOTION® moisturizer to hydrate and protect the skin. Your skin may appear slightly rosy for a day or two and may begin to peel to some degree. However, the THERAPLEX® HYDROLOTION® moisturizer provided will minimize the appearance of flaking. Wait one week before resuming facial and cleansing treatments.
